Travel & Access

Where is the entrance?

You can find the main entrance to The Greenhouse and Terrace on the canal front and up the external stairs. You can also gain access via The Light either using the lower deck North 1 car park and going up in the lift to the second floor or if you park on the upper level, you will need to go out and around to access via the external staircase on the canal front.

We provide wheelchair access either through the main entrance of The Light on the canal front or via the lift from the North 1 lower level car park. You will find us The Greenhouse & Terrace on the second floor.

Where do I park?

Parking is available at either the North 1 Car Park (300 spaces) which is set over two floors under our venue or the North 2 or South Car Parks. If you park in the North 1 Car Park on the lower level you can gain access to The Greenhouse and Terrace via the lift and go to the second floor or if you are on the upper level, you will need to go out and around to access to The Greenhouse & Terrace via the external staircase on the canal front.

Guests can benefit from free parking for visits of less than 2 hours or if you’re parking after 6pm Monday-Friday (no validation required), £1 parking on Sunday and Bank Holidays (no validation required) and £2 capped before 6pm Monday to Friday where validation is required.

Standard charges apply at all other times. Validation machines can be found in The Light cinema foyer or at the Bowling Bar.

Are you wheelchair accessible and have accessible toilets?

Yes, we are fully accessible with wheelchair access via the main entrance to The Light on the canal front or via the lift from the lower level of the North 1 Car Park. We have wheelchair access toilets. If you require any assistance please ask one of our team who are always happy to help.

Booking with us

Can I make a booking in The Greenhouse?

Tables are not bookable and are available on a first come first serve basis. Our team will do their best to accommodate any requests where possible.

Can I book a table on The Terrace?

Tables on our Terrace are not bookable and are available on a first come first served basis. Our team will do their best to accommodate any guest requests where possible.

Your Visit

Do you accept cash?

We apologise for any inconvenience but as we are a cashless restaurant, we can't accept cash payments in either The Greenhouse or The Terrace.

What age restrictions are there?

Under 18s, accompanied by a responsible adult are welcome in The Greenhouse if eating with us up to 9pm Sunday – Thursday and 10pm Friday/Saturday. We operate an over 18s only policy on The Terrace after 7pm.

Do you have a dress code?

To ensure that our guests feel relaxed and comfortable in our restaurants, we do not have a mandatory dress code but would ask guests to dress in a way which is respectful to other guests.

Are you dog friendly?

Only support and guide dogs are permitted in The Greenhouse. On the Terrace, they are welcome as long as they are happy to sit on the floor and are well behaved. We will have dog bowls.

Care of personal belongings

Please note that we are unable to accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any personal belongings whilst dining with us.

COVID Safety

We continue to monitor the situation and adapt our policies in accordance with the latest advice. The wellbeing of our guests is a key priority for us. Both areas are well ventilated but are likely to be busy during peak times.

I am a myLight Premiere member. Am I eligible for a discount?

Yes, as a Premiere member you are entitled to 10% discount on our food and drink in The Greenhouse and Terrace on Wednesday & Thursday only. Excludes pre-show dining menu.

Our food & menus

Do you cater to people with specific dietary requirements?

We are always happy to accommodate where we can and most of our dishes can be adapted for allergy and dietary requirements. Dietary requirements can also be added on any booking made. Please make sure you ask a member of the team when you arrive. You can find our allergen guide here.

Do you cater for children?

Yes we do. We offer a kids menu and and have high chairs available upon request.

Do you have an allergen guide?

Yes, If you or a member of your group has an allergy, intolerance, or any other special dietary requirements, just let us know when you book, and our team will be ready to accommodate on the day or talk to a member of the team when you arrive. You can find our allergen guide here.

Celebrations and Private Events

Do you cater for large groups?

Yes we do and we would love to hear from you. We cater for birthday parties, private dinners, large groups and everything in between. We are also available for exclusive use and we offer a private dining option that accommodates up to 22 people. Please fill in the enquiry form or contact our team at greenhouseevents@thelight.co.uk

Do you allow external caterers?

We're sorry, we are unable to take private hire bookings where customers provide their own food and drink and are unable to agree to external caterer’s using our kitchens. We have a delicious and versatile menu which can be tailored to suit your needs so please don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements via greenhouseevents@thelight.co.uk

Can I book The Green Room without any food?

Unfortunately our private dining room is only bookable with our set menu or afternoon tea packages. Bookings connected with our leisure offering at The Light are unable to book this space. The space can be used for corporate meetings and can be booked via greenhouseevents@thelight.co.uk

Do you offer buffet or nibbles menus for groups?

Unfortunately we do not offer buffet menus. We do offer canapes for private events which are hand made by our chefs on site.
